Polypropylene Boxes

Polypropylene is a durable translucent plastic material available in a variety of thicknesses, colors and finishes.  The textures that we stock in clear are: matte/matte, matte/smooth and lined/smooth.  

A brief description of the three finishes is:

• Lined: A grain/pattern that has diagonal lines across one side of the material.
• Smooth: A shiny, completely smooth surface finish. Screen-printing or Offset printing on this material allows for detailed graphics.
• Matte: A slightly textured surface. Matte is the most popular finish for all products, compatible with silk screning, foil stamping, and sonic welding.

We will use our expertise is custom packaging solutions to determine the thickness required for your custom box project based on the product type, construction and usage that will fit your specific needs.  Thicknesses range from .016 to .075 gauge but the more common gauges are .020,  .030 and .045 gauge.  We typically stock polypropylene in clear but it is also available in tinted colors with a fine matte/matte finish (blueberry, grape, lime, mango, raspberry, lemon and slate and even a few iridescent colors).
